# Integrating with EmailOctopus

Directly connect your Emailable and EmailOctopus accounts.

## **Connecting to EmailOctopus**

After signing in to your Emailable account, click the **Get Started** button, or the **+ New List** if you have already verified a list with us. A new modal will appear, prompting you to select a list source.

Click the EmailOctopus option, then copy & paste your **API key** from your EmailOctopus account into the text box provided.

## **Verifying an EmailOctopus List**

Once access has been granted, you'll be prompted on your Emailable dashboard to select a list from your existing EmailOcotopus Contacts.

After importing the list, click **Verify **to watch it verify in real time.

Once verification is complete, click **View Results** to view and analyze the health of your EmailOctopus data.

## **Export Data Back to EmailOctopus**

In the results page, you'll find the **Exports **tab at the top of the dashboard.

Click the **New Export** option.

A new modal will appear, allowing you to include or exclude specific verification categories and filters in your export. After making your selection, click **Send To EmailOctopus.**

Choose the option that best suits your needs.

| Maximum Reach | This export contains Deliverable, Risky, and Unknown emails |
| Only Bad Emails | This export contains Undeliverable emails |
| Custom | Build your customized export report |

You'll receive a notification that the export is being sent to EmailOctopus, and you'll receive an email notification once the export is complete.

### **Exported Results in EmailOctopus**

When you export the verified emails to EmailOctopus, the selected emails will be sent to your EmailOctopus account, while other unselected email contacts will be unsubscribed and will have a field called "Emailable Unsubscribed" set to "true".

For example, if you select only the Deliverable emails in Emailable, those deliverable emails will be added to your selected list in EmailOctopus. All other contacts will be unsubscribed and will have a field called "Emailable Unsubscribed" set to "true".
