FCC Listed Domains

Understanding domains impacted by FCC compliance rules.

To protect consumers from unsolicited commercial messages, wireless service providers register their SMS gateway domains with the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

Verification Handling

Domains on the FCC Domain List are automatically considered invalid. Any email address belonging to these domains is classified as Undeliverable during verification.

Why You Should Not Verify or Send to These Domains

  • SMS Conversion: These addresses do not deliver standard emails. Instead, they convert the message into an SMS sent directly to the recipient's phone number.
  • Regulatory Risk: Sending to these domains can make your service vulnerable to abuse and legal complications under FCC regulations.
  • Data Integrity: We recommend blocking these domains at the point of signup. They should not be used as primary contact emails for your service or marketing lists.
