Take a look inside Emailable

A closer look at a few claims
ZeroBounce makes these claims on its website. Here's what we found when we checked them.
What ZeroBounce says
ZeroBounce's spam-trap detection is “99.6% accurate”
Reality check
Nobody can prove that.
Spam traps only work because they're kept secret. There's no public list to test against, so no verifier can measure a detection rate, let alone to a tenth of a percent. The practical way to avoid traps is to keep a clean list and verify it regularly.
What ZeroBounce says
ZeroBounce's Verify+ sends real emails to your contacts
Reality check
We never email your contacts.
ZeroBounce's Verify+ sends real messages when it takes a closer look at Accept-All addresses. We do that work at the mail-server level, without sending anything to the people on your list.
What ZeroBounce says
ZeroBounce's AI scoring is a separate, paid add-on
Reality check
Quality scoring is included.
ZeroBounce charges a second credit to score an Accept-All address after verifying it. That means one address can use two credits. Emailable includes the Quality Score in the credit you already used for verification.
What ZeroBounce says
Emailable credits expire after 1 year
Reality check
Our credits don't expire.
There's no subscription requirement or other catch. Even ZeroBounce's review says, “Credits never expire at Emailable.” Meanwhile, the “Never” in ZeroBounce's column comes with a footnote: ZeroBounce credits stay active only while you have a ZeroBounce ONE™ subscription.
What ZeroBounce says
Emailable has no money-back guarantee
Reality check
We offer a full refund.
Emailable's published guarantee covers every verification. If more than 1% of the addresses we mark Deliverable bounce, we refund those misses. ZeroBounce's own review also acknowledges that both services offer a money-back guarantee.
What ZeroBounce says
10,000 Emailable verifications cost $119.85 a month
Reality check
The real price is about half that.
Right now, 10,000 Emailable credits cost $60 pay as you go or $51 with a subscription. Both are well below ZeroBounce's own $99 monthly price. You can check the table above, which uses published prices from both companies.
What ZeroBounce says
Emailable's accuracy is 99%, 98%, or 99.6%
Reality check
Those aren't our numbers.
ZeroBounce lists Emailable's accuracy as 99%, 98%, and even a “99.6% accuracy guarantee” on different pages. We don't make any of those claims. What we do offer is a clear deliverability guarantee: if more than 1% of the addresses we mark Deliverable bounce, we'll refund those misses.
What ZeroBounce says
Emailable's security is “undefined to the public”
Reality check
Our security details are public.
Emailable is SOC 2 Type II certified, GDPR and CCPA compliant, and hosted in ISO 27001 certified data centers. You can review our reports, certifications, and other security details in our public Trust Center.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes. Emailable has an API for verifying addresses inside your application and a Bulk Verifier for uploading email lists through the dashboard. Both include Accept-All and Disposable detection. Billing is simpler, and the price is lower at every list size we compared.
-
Yes, at every list size we compared. The table above shows the published prices side by side. Emailable also includes quality scoring in one credit and doesn't charge for Unknown results, so there are fewer extra costs.
-
Both services check addresses against the mail server. The difference is what we're willing to claim: Emailable doesn't publish accuracy percentages for things that can't be measured, such as spam-trap detection.
-
No. Spam traps only work because they're hidden, so there's no reliable way to measure a detection rate. Your best protection is to keep a clean list and verify it regularly, which both services help you do.
-
No. Emailable checks addresses at the mail-server level without sending a message to anyone on your list.
-
If you use ZeroBounce in your application, switching the API is mostly a matter of updating the endpoint and mapping a few fields. For email lists, you can run them through the Bulk Verifier in your Emailable dashboard.
